Ari Socolow
Bio: Ari Socolow is the Chief Economist and Editor-in-Chief at BestCashCow. He is particularly interested in issues relating to bank transparency and the climate crisis. Since co-founding BestCashCow in 2005, Ari has been frequently cited in the media as an expert on local and national savings accounts, CD products, mortgage and loan products and credit card rewards products.
Ari is a former attorney and investment banker. Ari practiced tax law in Moscow in the 1990s. Later, as a banker, he was employed by GE Capital and ING Barings where he worked on natural resources and infrastructure finance transactions. Ari also served in the leadership group of a Madrid-based telecom venture capital group and managed a London-based telecom restructuring group at Price Waterhouse.
Ari holds an MBA from Columbia, a JD from Emory and a BA from Tufts.
