Marcus, a division of Goldman Sachs, has lowered its online savings rate to 1.30%.
Banks and credit unions are now permitted to allow customers to make unlimited withdrawals from their savings and money market accounts. Banks are not required to suspend enforcement of the 6-transaction limit.
Live Oak has lowered is savings rate from 1.75% to 1.55% APY.
Citizens Access has lowered its online savings rate from 1.70% to 1.50%. The account continues to require a $5,000 minimum balance to earn this rate.
Amex has lowered its Personal Savings rate by 10 basis points to 1.60% APY. The rate remains very competitive and has held up better than the online rates of many of Amex's competitors.
Synchrony also cut its CD rates. 1-year is now 1.50% APY and 5-year is now 1.65% APY.
Emigrant has dropped the savings rate offered by both of its online banking subsidiaries.
Live Oak was the last bank to offer a nationally available 2% APY CD. They have lowered the rate on that product to 1.70% APY this morning.
If you want a CD from Sallie, the rate is now 1.70% APY no matter what duration you choose.
The money market rate is now 1.50% APY.
Ally Bank has lowered its online savings rate by 10 basis points today.
