General Credit Union Information

Who can join?

Persons working under grants of the Gannett Fellows, members of the University of Hawaii Alumni Association, Graduate students of the University of Hawai`i in the State of Hawai`i who have been admitted to the Law School, the Medical School, or the Graduate Division to pursue advanced degrees, and Undergraduate students of the University of Hawaii system are eligible for membership.

Employment Eligibility
If you are an employee of the University of Hawaii system, Research Corporation of the University of Hawai (RCUH), University of Hawaii Professional Assembly (UHPA), University of Clinical, Educational and Research Associates (UCERA), and University of Hawaii Foundation, you are eligible for membership. Employees and visiting researchers of the East West Center and East West Center Fellows can become a UHFCU member as well. Employees of and students attending Kuhio Elementary, Lunalilo Elementary, Ala Wai Elementary, President George Washington Middle School, or the University Laboratory School, also known as The Education Laboratory can apply for membership. Lastly, employees of this credit union or a retiree from the above employment may become a UHFCU member.

Family Eligibility
If you are an immediate family member of a UHFCU member, that is, spouse siblings, children, parents, grandparents, and grandchildren, you may join UHFCU. Household members of an existing UHFCU member, who maintain a single economic unit, including but not limited to: relatives, domestic partners, legal guardians, etc may also apply for membership. If you are the spouse of a person who died while within the field of membership of this credit union, you may still apply for membership.
