Here are some reasons why this may be happening:
1) CNBC is trying to improve its ratings in the wake of coming competition from Fox.
2) Michelle is trying to improve her ratings and get a full time gig being on TV after 6 AM in the morning (she is usually on much earlier).
3) This dramatic run up in the stock market is really that exciting.
4) GE's stock is at a 7 year high.
5) Sitting next to Mark Haines is really exciting.
Any other explanations?

You know, I thought I was imaging things...until I came across this blog. I've only been watching CNBC for 3 months, but Michelle Caruso-Cabrera caught my eye immediately. I noticed her displaying some on-screen sexual flirtation with Dennis Kneale, who she was paired up with in April/May 2008 on Power Lunch. It must have been unwanted, because I never saw Dennis react to it. My God, one day MCC wore this push-up bra!!! I mean, C'MON, she's already an endowed woman!!! I thought it was way over the top!!! For a Financial News Network, I mean. I'm not complaining, but c'mon, she was definitely trying to get a rise out of somebody! I don't know how Dennis does it! She was constantly pawing at him...ON CAMERA!!! For God's sake! LOL! Anyway, the two of them have been separated since then. I can only imagine the phone calls the network received after that taping! I would love to read anyone else's comments. Just to prove it wasn't my imagination.

How do I describe the meaningfulness of a Power Lunch show? Let me count the ways. Does Mr. Dennis keep people attuned? Does the informative and mighty "bill" shock us into reality? Does Sue, in her imagined Suburban take me away from the reality I accept?
The answer is simply no.
On this day, Michelle, a woman in a purple blouse moved me. Something in the way she moves, attracts me like no other reporter. I understand my role, and understand hers in this joint venture. However, corn moves me. We all gather at this friggin' imaginary water cooler at the end of a Power Lunch show.
And, I want to jump into this imagination with her in a bikini!
I am isleepwell! Michelle, you will do! For me, your purple is royal, and I cannot bake a cake. But, I can cook many dishes. I only wish you the best.

I really enjoy the way Michelle "raps" with all the guests. Michelle possesses concern for the direction of this economy, the United States, and global affairs. I believe she understands the "pure power" of the microphone very well. As a viewer, she gains my trust. I trust Michelle to report her unbiased best, while yet remaining sensitive, and specific to topics with flawless execution.

On this day, the market fell even as oil prices dropped, and the dollar held very well. Why did this phenomena occur? Simply put, I don't know. But, I do believe the markets will eventually awaken to the realities of it all.
Yes, I echo once again, it's all about the DOLLAR! To the naysayers, and pundits, I implore them to place a sock in their mouth, then, gain understanding!
As for my favorite financial journalist, I miss her as of late. Some have posted above about a porn exploration. I can tell you in all honesty, I have not clicked upon the site given, nor do I intend to in the future! All of us have a past, let the first of us without one caste the first stone.

On another topic, I must comment upon the current situation presented to the American public. I am speaking of the upcoming election. Mr. McCain can win this election Michelle. It is his to lose. However, he can only select one running mate to accomplish this huge task.
If Senator McCain hopes to occupy the oval office, then, C. Rice must be his selection. If he selects anyone other than her, then, he is in effect telling Mr. Obama to have a great time as President. I'll bet you a cup of coffee on this Michelle!
